Junior outside hitter Mianna Armstrong was named Hampton University Athlete of the Week after her strong performance this past Saturday in the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawk Invitational.

Armstrong (Lomond, Alberta) had a combined 15 kills in two matches and hit .290 for the weekend, thanks to just six errors in 31 total attacks. She also had seven services aces to go along with 10 digs on the weekend.

Armstrong had a season-high 11 kills in a 3-0 win over North Carolina A&T, before adding four service aces and six digs in a 3-0 win over North Carolina Central.
