Hampton University junior guard Mike Tuitt was named HU Athlete of the Week following his outstanding performances on the basketball court.

Tuitt (Bronx, N.Y.) tied his career high with 15 points on Saturday against Howard in the Big Applwe Classic at Madison Square Garden. His efforts -- which included a team-high four assists, four rebounds and a team-high three steals -- helped the Pirates win their seventh straight game.

Tuitt also had five points and four rebounds in Tuesday's 60-56 overtime win over Georgia State.
