PELLUM UP FOR NATIONAL WEEKLY HONOR

HARTLY, Del. – Hampton University sophomore Darrion Pellum in up for the National Player of the Week honor given out by the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN), as announced on Monday. 

Pellum (Hampton, Va.) led the Pirates to a 1-1 week averaging 17 points. His top performance was 18 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals against North Carolina A&T on Monday. In the Pirates' big road win over Bethune-Cookman (71-44) on Saturday, he finished with 16 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Voting will be open until Wednesday at 10 p.m. CST. Fan can cast their vote by visiting HSRN.com.

HSRN covers the CIAA, MEAC, SIAC, SWAC and Independents, and the fan poll is designed to keep basketball fans abreast of the top performances of the Division I and Division II players across the country.
