PHOENIX, Md. – The Hampton University women's golf team finish finished tied for fifth in the Towson Women's Invitational, held Sunday and Monday, Sept. 11-12, at the Hillendale Country Club with a two-day score of 654 (324-330).
The Lady Pirates finished in a tie with the University of Delaware.
Junior
Kayla Williams (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) led Hampton with a two-day score of 13-over 157 (75-82) to finish tied for 11th, and her first-round 75 was the team's low round of the tournament. Junior
Nicole West (Springdale, Md.) came in tied for 23rd after firing a 19-over 163 (81-82), the same score as senior
Dionne West (Springdale, Md.), who went 80-83 for the tournament.
Senior
Iman Ellis (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) came in 42nd with a 27-over 171 (88-83), and senior
Sydnee Mack (Las Vegas, Nev.) fired a 36-over 180 (92-88) to finish tied for 62nd.
Old Dominion won the team title with a two-day score of 624 (317-307), while Harin Lee of St. John's shot a 146 (73-73) to win the individual title.
