DAEGU, Korea –
Former Hampton University track & field standout Francena McCorory came away with a gold medal at the 2011 IAAF World Track & Field Championships on Saturday, as she helped the USA 4x400-meter relay team win the title.

A three-time NCAA champion and four-time All-American in the 400-meter dash, McCorory also finished fourth in the 400-meter dash earlier in the World Championships after running a 50.45 in the final on Saturday, Aug. 27.
