HAMPTON, VA – The Lady Pirates Tennis team finished their regular season with a victory over Maryland Easter Shore at the Neilson- Screen Tennis Stadium in Hampton, Virginia.

The Lady Pirates cruised in doubles action. Melanie Scott (Gardena, CA) and Butler defeated Fowajuh and Jennings 8-0, while Daolio and Henry swept Collazos and Abrams 8-0 as well.

In singles action, the Lady Pirates swept their opponents in straight sets. Tabita Daolio (Centro Campinas, Brazil) defeated Reine Fowajuh 6-0 6-0 in No.1 singles. Danielle Butler (Hawthorne, CA) beat Jasmine Jennings 6-0 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

Renee Henry (St. John's, Antigua & Barbuda) defeated Kenesha Abrams at 6-0 6-0 at the No.3 singles position, while Fionna Davis (Suffolk, VA) captured the match for the Lady Pirates defeating Valentina Collazos 6-0 6-0.

The Lady Pirates await the seed pairings for the upcoming 2013 MEAC Tennis Championships, which will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina at the Millbrook Tennis Center. The Championships are on the dates of April 18-21, 2013.
