HAMPTON, Va. – An NCAA Tournament Selection Show viewing party will be held on Sunday evening in the Student Center Ballroom to celebrate the Hampton University men's basketball team winning the MEAC Tournament championship.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The Selection Show will air live on CBS on Sunday at 6 p.m. EST. That is when the 68-team field will be announced, and when the Pirates (16-17) learn their first opponent, game date, and tip-off time.
Hampton will be making its fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and its first since 2011, after Saturday's 82-61 win over Delaware State in the MEAC Tournament championship game at Norfolk Scope Arena.
This is the team's second MEAC Tournament title under head coach Edward Joyner Jr.
