LEWES, De. -- Â The Hampton Lady Pirate tennis team raised its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference record to 3-0 on Monday with a 4-0 win over Delaware State.
Hampton took the doubles point winning matches at line one and three. Â
Mariam Mitaishvili and
Yulia Kapitanova took a 6-2 win at line one, while
Haley Mullins and Ana Romanova win 6-4 at line three to clinch the doubles point.
In singles, Hampton (4-5/3-0) made quick work of the Hornets at lines one, five and six for the win. Mitaishvili won 6-0, 6-1 at line one, Romanova won 6-0, 6-2 at line five and Mullins won 6-0, 6-1 at line six for Hampton to clinch the match 4-0.
The Lady Pirates are now off until April 7 when they travel to North Carolina Central for a 10am match in Durham, NC.
