BUIES CREEK, NC. – Hampton University Lady Pirates dropped a 3-0 decision to Campbell University in a Big South Conference volleyball match on Saturday 25-22, 25-13, 25-14.
 
Gabby Calloway had nine kills and nine digs, Sydney Sumner added seven kills and nine digs, while Jessica Pugh collected 15 digs. Lena Reed-Petracek added in 24 assists for the Lady Pirates.
 
In the first set, Hampton would keep the score close but Campbell took a 23-20 lead after a kill by Melody Paige. Following a Hampton timeout, Hampton would bring the lead to 24-22 after a block by Isis Black, but would give the game point up on a block by Amanda Patterson.
 
Hampton will be back on the hardwood Friday November 1 at 6 pm, when they host Winthrop University.
