PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Hampton women's cross country team competed Saturday in the Eastern Shore Invitational and took fourth.

Alexia Phifer was the top finisher for Hampton coming in 14^th place in the 5k event running 20:29.40.  Zuri Rashad was next for the Lady Pirates in 20^th place in 20:58.40.

Rounding out the Hampton runners were:

DeVonya Brown, 28^th, 21:39.20
Gabrielle Chenault, 46^th, 25:25.30

Hampton will next compete in the CNU Invitational on October 12.
