HAMPTON, Va. (Sept. 11, 2025) … The Hampton University cross country teams will run again on Friday evening as they'll participate in the CNU Invitational at Lee Hall Mansion.
The men's 8k race will start at 5:30 p.m., while the women's 6k race will start at 6:20 p.m. A total of 12 schools will participate in the meet Friday night.
Both Hampton teams are coming off second place showings at the Longwood Home Open last Saturday. For the men at Longwood, Khalil Hamid was the top finisher coming in fifth in 28:58.2 and
Mohammed Al-YaFee was sixth covering the 8k course in 28:59.9.
Daniel Danner was 19th in 31:54.1, while
Dominic Bassey was 24th in 33:29.3 and
Jordan Dones was 32nd in 38:24.3.
In the women's 5k race,
Avah Savage was the top finisher coming in 10
th place in 20:22.5 to lead four in the top 15.
Mekayla Wilson was 12
th in 20:31.9,
Saibu Yetunde was 13
th in 21:18.2 and
Kylee King was 15
th in 21:30.2.
Angel Moultrie was 16th in 21:41.7 and
Alannah Runge rounded out the Pirates in 17th place with a time of 22:23.5.
