CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Big South Conference announced its Men's and Women's Tennis All-Academic teams today and Davy van Geerke along with
Viktoria Ljungman were recognized for their efforts in the classroom and on the court.
Ljungman, a sophomore Flight Education major, won three matches at #2-singles and won three doubles matches this year for the Lady Pirates. Van Geerke, a junior Computer Science major, amassed a team-leading six wins at #3-singles, while also sharing the team lead with five doubles wins.
The Big South Tennis All-Academic Teams consists of one student-athlete from each institution that meets the criteria of having completed at least one academic year at the institution, maintains at least a cumulative 3.0 grade-point average and is of sophomore standing (academically and athletically).Â
