CHARLOTTE, N.C. --Â The Big South Conference announced its Men's and Women's Golf All-Academic teams today and
Lizabeth Randles along with
Mateo Manzanares were recognized for their efforts in the classroom and on the links.
Manzanares, a sophomore International Studies major, tied for first at the Hampton Invitational and also tied for 16th at the UMES Invitational with a low round of 72 for the season. Randles (3.67 – Kinesiology) played all 14 rounds of the Lady Pirates' season, and featured a season-best fifth-place finish at the Hampton Invitational, as well as a low round of 79.
The Big South Golf All-Academic Teams consists of one student-athlete from each institution that meets the criteria of having completed at least one academic year at the institution, maintains at least a cumulative 3.0 grade-point average and is of sophomore standing (academically and athletically).Â
