MEN'S BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES TWO FRESHMAN SIGNEES

HAMPTON, Va. -- Hampton University head men's basketball coach Edward "Buck" Joyner, Jr. announced two freshman signees for the fall 2021 class on Friday.

Will Henderson of Richmond, Va. and Luc Therrien of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada join three transfers announced last week in the 2021 recruiting class.

"These two young men both have strong prep school backgrounds and will make impacts for us in various ways," said Joyner.  "They will be assets to us and the future of our program."

Will Henderson, 6-10, Richmond, Va./Scotland Prep
2020-21 at Scotland Prep: 15 ppg, 10 rpg, 2 bpg

JOYNER ON HENDERSON: I can see him developing into a mismatch problem for us as he can play all the front court positions, can put the ball on the floor and is a very skilled player.  He was tops in the state before heading to a national power in Scotland Prep (PA)

Luc Therrien, 6-10, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada/Bull City Prep (NC)
2020-21 at Bull City Prep: 12 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 bpg, 2 apg

JOYNER ON THERRIEN: Luc is very talented at the four and five spots with his three-point shooting capability along with a strong back to basket game.  He has an international flair that will be fun for the fans.
