SOFTBALL ANNOUNCES RECRUITING CLASSES

HAMPTON, Va. – Sixth-year Hampton head coach Angie Nicholson announced her softball newcomers today for the classes of 2020 and 2021.

With the pandemic causing such a shift in recruiting processes, Nicholson found several new twists to the "virtual" recruiting world that made things very easy in such a different time.

"There are now so many great virtual tools available. Parents and coaches can live stream everything they do via several different programs, but the latest tool is called Athletes Go Live. This has made it so we can set up various items and watch multiple games, practices, and combines all at the same time," Nicholson said.

"The other part that is nice is if we missed something we can always go back and find it and watch it at another time. This has really changed recruiting and being able to go back again and watch something or someone we may have missed," she added.
