Jordan Nesbitt Honored as Co-CAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week 

Hampton, Va. (Dec. 5, 2022) — Sophomore Jordan Nesbitt made his presence felt in his first 'Battle of the Real HU,' as the Pirate guard was named the Colonial Athletic Association Co- Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Monday.

Nesbitt averaged 19.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game to help Hampton to a 1-1 week. The guard from St. Louis recorded his second double-double of the year with 15 points and 11 rebounds at Georgia on Wednesday and followed that with a 23-point, eight-rebound, five-steal effort in Saturday's win over Howard. 

Nesbitt is the first Pirate in program history to garner the award as this is Hampton's maiden season in the CAA.

The Pirates return to action on Sunday for a home matchup against Bowling Green. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m.
