Box Score Hampton, VA- Hampton cruised to a 6-0 victory over Virginia State Saturday afternoon, sweeping the Trojans.
 
Hampton secured all three courts in double play to give the Pirates some momentum before the singles sets. 
 
Freshman Ange-Kevin Koua (Quebec, Canada) and Senior Fayzullokhon Mavlyudov (Samarkand, Uzbekistan) secured a 6-0 victory at No.1.
 
Grad student Cliff Dwyer (Oracabessa, St. Mary, Jamaica) and Sophomore Donte Armbrister (Nassau, Bahamas) claimed the win on court two by default. 
 
Juniors Jeremiah Williams (Windsor Mill, Maryland) and Daud Gantt-Bey (Washington, DC) wrapped up doubles, winning 6-0 at line three.
 
In singles play, Hampton continued their dominance. At No.1 singles, Koua's match went unfinished 6-1, 5-0. Dwyer made it a 3-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-0 win on court two. Mavlyudov clinched the match in the Pirate's favor winning 6-0, 6-0 on court three.
 
Armbrister claimed a 6-0 victory at No.4, while Williams took court five in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Gantt took a win by default at line six.
