HAMPTON, Va. (Jan. 12, 2024) … Former Hampton standout wide receiver Jadakis Bonds has been added to the CFL's British Columbia Lions roster, it was announced by the team.

Bonds, Hampton's all-time leader in receiving touchdowns (34), ranks among the top three players in Hampton history in receptions and yards. He amassed 180 receptions for 2,731 yards and scored 34 touchdowns during his playing career at Hampton from 2019-22.

Bonds earned first-team All-Big South honors and was named Player of the Week twice by the league. A year later, he was named first-team All-CAA for the Pirates. Bonds was also named Hampton Athlete of the Year by the Peninsula Sports Club in 2023.

In 2023, the Williamston, N.C., native signed as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers. In Green Bay's final exhibition game, he caught two passes for 60 yards, including a spectacular 52-yard reception which set up Green Bay's game-winning score. The Packers downed the Seahawks, 19-15, in the contest.
