HAMPTON, Va. (Jan. 30, 2024) – The CAA announced Hampton Universities
DyJae Pearson as a member of the 2024 Preseason All-CAA Men's Lacrosse Team.
This is the first time a Pirate has earned this award. Pearson is coming off a 2023 season in which he started all 14 games as a defender and was named to the 2023 Men's Lacrosse Second Team All-CAA. He finished the season with four goals, 57 ground balls and 37 caused turnovers. He achieved a career-high in ground balls in the game against Queens (N.C.) with 10 on February 19. Pearson averaged the seventh-most ground balls per game in the conference with 4.07.
The Pirates kickoff the season at Mercer this Sunday, Feb. 4 at 11:00 AM.
