Jasha Clinton was recognized as the Co-Player of the Week.
Clinton, a Virginia Beach, Va. native, averaged 15.5 points per game on 50% shooting from the field in a pair of contests. She shined on the road Sunday with season highs in points (20), field goals made (8) and steals (5) as Hampton rallied from a 16-point fourth quarter deficit to defeat Georgia 76-74 in overtime.
She started a 12-1 run in the third quarter with a 3-pointer and ended it with a driving layup as Hampton trailed 45-42 with 4:55 left. Her five steals were a key role as Hampton forced Georgia into a season-high 32 turnovers.
With her five steals Sunday, she now is tied for the league lead in steals at 2.8 per game.
Hampton (2-4) is off until December 12 when they host East Carolina.
