HAMPTON, Va. (Feb. 1, 2024) – The Pirates men's tennis team will be kicking off its first two matches of the season Friday, Feb. 2, and Saturday, Feb. 3, in Towson, Md.
The Pirates will battle against Loyola (Md.) on Friday at 6 PM, and then make the short trip over to Morgan State on Saturday, starting at 2 PM.

Pirate Momentum
The Pirates are coming off their first winning season (10-9) since the 2009-10 team (11-6). They look to continue their push after winning five of their last seven matches.
Four Pirates are returning from last year's roster. Their singles records were as follows,
Donte Armbrister (11-9),
Emiliano Jorquera (9-7),
Daniel Flynn (9-9), and
Jeremiah Williams (3-13). In doubles, Williams was 8-7, Flynn (11-8), Jorquera (5-9) and Armbrister (5-11). Three freshmen are joining the team,
Aryan Arora,
Benedict Badza, and
Shine Tokas.
