Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HAMPTON, Va. (April 15, 2024) – The Hampton tennis teams played against two different teams in today's matches. The men hosted North Carolina A&T and the women traveled to compete against the Towson Tigers.

The Lady Pirates (12-8) earned a big 4-3 win over the Tigers. The men's squad fell 0-7 to the Aggies.

Women

Hampton grabbed the doubles point and won three singles matches. Masa Mitic and Lucia Jorrin Fernandez defeated Lea Kosanovic and Chandre Boshoff 6-2. Mitic and Jorrin Fernandez have won twice as a pair. Sofia Sokolova and Meiri Okuwaki won their 12th match together in a 6-3 victory over Erin Gray and Olivia Rothfeld.

In singles, Diana Starodubtseva dominated Boshoff in two sets that both ended 6-0. Okuwaki took down Rothfeld in two as well, 6-2 and 6-1. Jorrin Fernandez defeated Kosanovic to seal the win 6-0, 6-3. Okuwaki and Mitic earned their 11th singles win and Jorrin Fernandez her 10th.

Men

Hampton won one of its doubles matches. Daniel Flynn and Aryan Arora took down Kaua Santos and Mathieu Dussaubat in a tiebreak 7-6(3). The duo is 5-1 together this season.
