HAMPTON, Va. (April 17, 2024) – Hampton's track & field teams are preparing to compete at the Virginia Challenge (Lannigan Field) in Charlottesville, Va. and the Morgan State Legacy Meet (Hughes Stadium) in Baltimore, Md.
The majority of the team will be participating at the Morgan State Legacy Meet with only a handful attending the Virginia Challenge.
Both meets run on Friday and Saturday this week (April 19-20). The women's discus throw will kick off the Virginia Challenge at 1:45 p.m. on Friday. The women's hammer throw will be the first event at the Morgan State Legacy Meet.

Last Week at the JMU Invitational
Damali Williams broke her own school record in the women's discus and won the event with a throw of 51.63m. Her previous record was set at 51.12m (Phoenix Invitational).
Abraham Evans took first place in the long jump at a distance of 7.07m. Teammate
Dieusi Armand won the women's triple jump at 12.14m.
Jordan Mozie earned gold in the women's 1500m (4:46.91) and
Antoine Spencer first in the men's 200m (20.98). Mozie,
Kayla Spencer,
Madison P Greene, and
Dejah Grant won the women's 4x400m. In the men's 4x100m,
Khari Barnes,
Deondre McIntosh,
Antico Dalton, and
Aiden Whyte grabbed first (41.25).
