Harold O’Neal III Invited to Play in the Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl

HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 14, 2025) … Hampton University linebacker Harold O'Neal III has been invited to play in the Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl. The senior is the leading tackler for the Pirates with 101 total tackles in 10 games with 43 solo tackles and 58 assisted stops. He is the second-leading tackler in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA).
 
The senior made 18 tackles at North Carolina A&T on Sept. 13 and 16 against nationally-ranked Monmouth on Oct. 25.
 
O'Neal came to Hampton from Shepherd University where he was a two-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) honoree. He recorded 69 tackles his first season at Shepherd in 2023 and finished with 77 stops in 2024.
 
The Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl will be played at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, La. on Feb. 21. 2026 at 4:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the NFL Network.
 
The Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl, presented by the Black College Football Hall of Fame, is a postseason all-star game showcasing the best NFL draft-eligible football players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. More than a football game, the week-long celebration of Black culture, history and a Career Fair provides invaluable exposure and opportunity for HBCU students.
