RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 25, 2025) … The Coastal Athletic Association announced its weekly tennis honors on Tuesday afternoon and the Hampton women's team took home a doubles Team Of The Week award with Masa Mitic and Meri Okuwaki.

Mitic and Okuwaki contributed wins in doubles and singles as Hampton earned a 4-1 team win at Mount St. Mary's. Playing at No. 2 doubles, the Pirates' duo battled past Margherita Trolese and Kaajal Ramisetty, 6-4. They followed with key straight-set victories in singles as Okuwaki won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 and Mitic posted a match-clinching 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4.

Hampton (1-1) heads to Longwood for a match on Friday before hosting N.C. Central at 10 a.m. Sunday morning in its home opener.
