Hampton University Women’s Triathlon Team Named to Scholar All-American Team

HAMPTON, Va. (Feb. 3, 2025) … The College Triathlon Coaches Association announced the Scholar All-American Teams and Student-athletes. Hampton University women's triathlon team achieved this honor by having a team GPA of 3.2 or higher. The Pirates are one of 13 Division I programs to receive this honor for the 2024 season.

For student-athletes to receive individual honors, all individuals had to compete in the 2024 Collegiate Triathlon National Championships along with having a 3.5 GPA. For student-athletes that finish inside the top 21 of their division at the national championship, they were named to the Scholar All-American Team. Individuals outside the top 21 but had a 3.5 GPA received honorable mention honors.

In the third season of the program's existence, Hampton had four student-athletes make the Scholar All-American Honorable Mention Team. Jordyn Bryant, Niya Buckner, Michelle Morgan, and Dymonasia Williams all met the GPA requirement and competed at nationals during the 2024 campaign. The 2024 season would also be the second year that Coach Jodi Jensen's side qualified and competed at the National Championships.
