Hampton Triathlon Ends Season at NCAA National Championship

CLERMONT, Fla. (Nov. 9, 2024) … The Hampton University women's triathlon team ended its season at the NCAA National Championship. This weekend's race marked the second time the program has competed at the national championship.

The race was held at the Clermont Watersports Complex. Organizers of the national championship had to change the format into a two-day race due to damage caused by Hurricane Milton at the original venue at nearby Lake Louisa State Park.

The Division I field consisted of 83 student-athletes from 13 different institutions. Hampton's Jordyn Bryant had the team's best finish placing 77th. Bryant had a time of 1:27:08 and led the Lady Pirates at the national championship for the second consecutive year. Niya Buckner was close behind with a time of 1:31:07. Michelle Morgan and Dymonasia Williams wrapped up the list of competitors for Hampton.
