HAMPTON, Va. (March 1, 2025) … The Hampton University women's basketball team will close out its home regular season on Sunday afternoon with a 2pm matchup against Northeastern to celebrate Senior Day.
The seniors:
Amyah Reaves, Arina NIkishina,
Jenae Dublin and
CeCe Thomas will be honored in a pre-game ceremony around 1:40 p.m.
Hampton (6-20, 2-13) comes in after a tough 53-47 loss to Hofstra on Friday night.
Jasha Clinton scored 17 points and
Aisha Dabo had 11 points and 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
Northeastern (2-22, 1-14) comes to Hampton after falling 71-51 at William & Mary on Friday night. Abby Jegede has 21 points and Alyssa Staten had 14 points and 11 boards to lead Northeastern against the Tribe.
Last year these teams met in Boston and the Huskies took a 64-60 win on their Senior Day. Reaves had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds to go with five assists and three steals.
ABOUT HAMPTON
Clinton leads the team in scoring averaging 14.2 points per game and also leads in steals (55) and third in assists with 53. She was honored for scoring over 1,000 career points on Friday night and now has 1,039 career points with 355 coming this season.
Dabo follows Clinton in scoring averaging 7.8 points per game and is third in rebounding at 4.4 per contest. Dublin is averaging 7.2 points and a team-best 5.0 rebounds per game. As a team, Hampton is averaging 57.3 points per game and allowing 67.3.
ABOUT NORTHEASTERN
Jegede leads the team in scoring at 16.1 points per game and is third in rebounding at 4.4 per game. Yirsy Queliz is the other double figure scorer averaging 11.3 points and leads the team in assists with 65.
As a team, Northeastern is averaging 49.4 points per game and allowing 68.7.

Hampton closes out the regular season with a pair of road games on Thursday, March 6 at UNCW and Saturday, March 8 at College of Charleston.
