HAMPTON, Va. (March 9, 2025) … Hampton University men's and women's tennis teams head south this week to Orlando, Florida for their annual Spring Break trip for a total of 11 matches over four days in and around Orlando.
The men start off with a match against Fairfield at Florida Southern College in Lakeland at 9 a.m. on Monday. Both teams will face Warner University at Webber International in Babson Park starting at 4 p.m.
Tuesday will have both teams at the United States Tennis Association National Center in Orlando as they'll face St. Thomas Aquinas at 11 a.m.
Wednesday will have Hampton at the Lake Cane Center in Orlando. The women have a pair of matches against Bryant at 1:30 p.m. and Quinnipiac at 7 p.m, while the men face N.C. Central also at 7 p.m.
The Pirates will start their final day on Thursday at Lake Beerman Center in Orlando as the women face South Dakota at noon, while the men take on Marquette also at noon. The men will finish the week taking on Vassar at the USTA National Center at 6:30 p.m.
Hampton's men (2-5) start the trip coming off a pair of wins on March 6 knocking off Norfolk State 4-3 and Chowan 4-0.
Marko Stoilkovski had the clinching point against the Spartans in a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 win at No. 6 singles, while
Aryan Arora clinched the match against Chowan with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles.
Hampton's women (3-2) also swept their matches on March 6 defeating Norfolk State (4-1) and Chowan (4-0).
Serena Bryan had the clincher against Norfolk State with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles and at No. 3 against Chowan with a 6-3, 6-0 win.
