Hampton, Va. (May 30, 2025) ... Hampton University, in partnership with the nationally recognized Sound Mind Sound Body (SMSB) Foundation, proudly announces the Tidewater Showcase Mega Camp powered by Adidas, taking place June 7–8, 2025, at Hampton University. This marquee event is set to attract over 1,000 student-athletes from across the region, offering them a premier platform for athletic development, college exposure, and life-changing opportunities.

The Sound Mind Sound Body Showcase has a legacy of producing and attracting NFL-caliber talent. Notable NFL athletes such as Sauce Gardner, Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions, and Will Johnson of the Arizona Cardinals have attended SMSB events, underscoring the camp's reputation as a launchpad for future stars. Their participation serves as an inspiration for aspiring athletes attending this year's Tidewater Showcase.

More than 20 college football programs, including Power Five, HBCU, and Group of Five schools, will be on hand to evaluate talent and connect with prospective student-athletes.
● NFL-style combine testing: Athletes will be evaluated in the 40-yard dash, shuttle run, vertical jump, and position-specific drills.
● Recruiting education: Parents and athletes can attend seminars on college recruiting, academic readiness, and NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) opportunities.
● Exclusive Adidas gear: All registered participants will receive Adidas apparel, including cleats, as part of the camp experience.
● College coach meet & greets: Athletes and families will have the chance to interact directly with college coaches and recruiting coordinators.
