Tamisha Augustin announced the 2025-26 non-conference schedule on Friday. Non-league opponents posted an aggregate 171-125 (.577) record in 2024-25 with two teams winning their conference crowns and four advancing to post-season play in either the NCAA Tournament or WNIT.
The Pirates open the 2025-26 campaign against local rival Apprentice School on Nov. 5 at the Convocation Center. After trips to North Carolina to take on Wake Forest (Nov. 9) and Gardner-Webb (Nov. 16), the Pirates battle longtime rival Norfolk State in Norfolk on Nov. 21. The Lady Spartans were 30-5 a year ago, winning the MEAC championship and earning an NCAA Tournament berth.
Hampton hosts Delaware State (Nov. 24) before taking on formidable opponents Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 27) and Buffalo (Nov. 29) in the Puerto Rico Classic. Stephen F. Austin won the Southland Conference crown and played in the NCAA Tournament last year finishing with a 29-6 mark while Buffalo was 30-7 a year ago and won the WNIT.
Coach Augustin's young troops play in the HBCU Hoops Invitational at Disneyworld in Orlando, Fla. on Dec. 4-7.
The Battle of the Real HU will be played in Washington, D.C. when the Pirates face off with Howard at the CareFirst Arena on Dec. 13. Howard played in the WNIT last year and finished with a 22-12 record. Hampton hosts state rival Radford on Dec. 18 before finishing the non-league schedule at Eastern Kentucky on Dec. 29.
