HAMPTON, Va. (Mar. 20, 2026) … The Hampton University men's lacrosse team rounds out its four game road trip with a game at Monmouth Saturday. The Pirates enter the contest having lost to Queens last weekend.
LAST MEETING:
Monmouth won last seasons game 24-4 inside of Armstrong Stadium. The Hawks hold 3-0 record against Hampton all-time.
ABOUT HAMPTON:
Maliik Wood (21), Anthony Bardonille Jr. (20), and Darius Stanley (10) have all recorded double digit goals on the season for the Pirates through eight games. Bardonille Jr. and James Green have each registered team high eight assists a piece. Bardonille Jr. ripped off his fourth hat trick last game at Queens when he recorded a team high three goals.
Hampton's seven goals against Queens marks the seventh game this season in which they have scored seven goals or more, a feat they accomplished just twice a season ago.
The Pirates have shared the wealth on the offensive side this season, as 11 different players have scored a goal. Judah Johnson-Nixon (8), Amare Ford (7), and Ayron Norton (6) have been key on the defensive side as they have recorded a total of 21 of the teams 42 caused turnovers, while Miles Lancaster has started in the net every game for Hampton, averaging 13.50 saves per game.
ABOUT MONMOUTH
Ty Caffarelli has paced Monmouth this season with 27 goals while Nick Teets and Connor Gorman have each recorded double digit goals at 11. Teets also leads the team in assists with nine on the season. The Hawks currently average 10.75 points per game, while ripping 38.9 shots per game.
In the net, Dylan Cadigan has started all eight games, saving a team best 88 shots. He currently holds a .579 save percentage. Gavin Seaman adds a team best seven caused turnovers on defense while Hayden Chester and JJ Jenkins have six a piece.
Last season, Monmouth posted a 5-9 record.

Maliik Wood currently ranks fourth in the CAA with a goals per game average of 2.63 on 21 goals, while Anthony Bardonille Jr. is fifth in the league with 2.50 on 20 goals. Wood is sixth in the league in points with 28. Bardonille Jr. also ranks tenth in assists per game with 1.00 and first in shots per game at 10.00. Miles Lancaster ranks first among all goalies in the CAA with 13.50 saves per game.

RE-WRITING HISTORY
Anthony Bardonille Jr. became the first Hampton Pirate to receive a major weekly award by the CAA on Feb. 23, winning CAA Rookie of the Week. The freshman from Washington, D.C. posted four goals and three assists against VMI. He has recorded three hat tricks in seven games this season, and currently leads the team in assists.
