HAMPTON, Va. (Apr. 29, 2026) … Anthony Bardonille, Jr. has been named to the CAA All-Rookie Team as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon. 

The freshman from Washington, D.C. led the Pirates this season in goals with 29 while assisting on nine. He broke the school record for goals in a single season with the previous being 26, held by Pierce Johnson. 

Bardonille, Jr. recorded three or more goals in five games, with a career best six goals against Monmouth, the most in a  Division I game in school history. He added seven points when he scored four goals and assisted on three against VMI.

He earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors twice, following his performances against VMI and Monmouth. Those two awards were the first time in the Hampton CAA era that a player was selected to a weekly award. 

While he broke the single season goals record, he also finished second in points with 38, second in shots on goal with 61, and tied for first in man-up goals in a season with seven. 

Bardonille Jr. becomes the third Pirate to earn an All-CAA award, as Zion Garcia was named second team defense, and Alex Lacey was named to the all-rookie team a season ago.
