AT VIRGINIA TECH
Went to Virginia Tech in 2002 as a wide receiver and redshirted during his first season… moved to the defensive side of the ball in 2004, playing in 12 games and recording two tackles… saw brief action on offense against Florida A&M… posted a 4.33 40-yard dash and a team-best 39 ½ inch vertical jump in spring testing… was in on 71 total plays in 2005, including a season-high 10 snaps against Georgia Tech.

OSCAR SMITH HIGH SCHOOL
Excelled as a receiver and return man for Coach Bill Lyons at Oscar Smith … named the Sleeper of the Year in Virginia by The Roanoke Times … caught 25 passes for 384 yards and five touchdowns as a senior … returned three punts for 95 yards, including one for a touchdown … also had six kickoff returns for 245 yards, an average of 40.8 yards per return … scored on an 87-yard kickoff return against Deep Creek … posted seven catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in one game and five receptions for 108 yards and two TDs in another game … was second-team All-Southeastern District as a receiver and return man as a senior … named the team MVP and the top receiver … saw action as a tight end his junior year … finished with 33 receptions for 517 yards and seven touchdowns during his two varsity seasons … a sprinter in track … ran a leg on the school’s 4x100-meter relay team that finished fifth in the 2001 Group AAA track meet … also lettered as a forward on the basketball team.
