2007 (Junior)
Playing left field she started in all 48 games on the season…batted .230 on the year with 31 hits in 135 at bats…She ran for nine doubles and hit four homeruns, earning 41 RBIs…walked 11 times and was hit by the pitch a total of five times…she covered a total of 52 bases with a slugging percentage of .385 and an on base percentage of .314…Angela stole 3 bases out of 5 attempts…In a MEAC conference game vs. Coppin State (3/27) Balser hit her first career grand slam to help lead the Pirates to a 11-1 win and kept Hampton’s record undefeated… Her solo homerun at the MEAC round-up vs. Norfolk State (4/13) guided the game into extra innings and later assisted in the win over NSU in 10 innings.
2006 (Sophomore)
Started all 50 of the games in which she appeared, playing first base right field and left field… registered 41 hits in 142 at bats for a batting average of .289… 11 of her 41 hits went for extra bases, including six home runs, four doubles and a triple… had a slugging percentage of .458 and an on base percentage of .369… stole seven bases in nine attempts… walked13 times and had three sacrifices…posted 30 RBIs… had eight multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games… ended the year on a 10-game hitting streak… batted .327with runners in scoring position… named MEAC Player of the Week on May 1 after helping the Lady Pirates sweep Norfolk State with a three-run shot in game one and an RBI single and two-run double in game two… blasted a two-run home run against North Carolina A&T in the opening game of the MEAC Tournament to help the Lady Pirates earn a 5-4 victory… had four games where she drove in at least three runs… defensively recorded 109 putouts and four assists.
2005 (Freshman)
Named to the MEAC All-Tournament Team after batting .462 withtwo home runs, a triple and four RBIs in fi ve games… led the Lady Pirates with 35 runs scored on the year… tied for third in the MEAC with three triples… was the only player in the conference to hit two triples in a single game, that coming against Coppin State (3/31)… batted .276 overall, recording 34 hits in 123 at bats… fi fth in the MEAC in walks with 18… blasted four home runs and eight doubles… had seven multi-hit games… put together an eight-game hitting streak… recorded a season-high three hits, including two triples at Coppin State (3/31)… hit her fi rst career home run with a two-run shot to center against Morgan State on March 13… drove in a season-high three runs with a two-run double and an RBI single against Norfolk State (3/3)… helped the Lady Pirates advance to the semifi nals of the MEAC Tournament
with a solo home run versus Delaware State (4/30)… led all HU outfielders with 12 assists… also recorded 112 putouts… was 6-for-7 on stolen base attempts.

Played three seasons of softball under varsity head coach Pat Waguespack and the Royals… Member of the three-time District champions, including undefeated in 2004… Named to First Team
