A native of Suffolk, Va., Becky Milburn joined the Hampton Sports Performance staff in November of 2023. She has gained experience in strength and conditioning having worked at three different universities in the Hampton Roads area as well as in Kentucky and Tennessee.
She began her professional career in 2021 as a strength and conditioning intern at Old Dominion in Norfolk. After working with the Monarch football team, she served as an intern at Christopher Newport, working primarily with football as well as its other 23 varsity sports.
After spending the Spring season at Christopher Newport, she moved to Lexington, Ky. Working as a summer intern with the Wildcats. After spending a valuable two months at Kentucky, she became a graduate assistant at Lincoln Memorial for the 2022-23 season. Primarily working with men’s and women’s volleyball men’s and women’s golf, women’s lacrosse, and women’s field hockey during her year in Tennessee, she returned home and worked as an intern at William & Mary before being a full-time assistant sports performance coach at Hampton.
Milburn earned a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia in 2020 in Sports and Exercise and Physiology and an MBA in Sports Management from Lincoln Memorial in 2024.
She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
