Hampton University sophomore Ce'aira Brown was named HU Athlete of the Week, after leading the Lady Pirates to their fourth straight MEAC indoor title this past weekend.

Brown (Philadelphia, Pa.) was named the Most Outstanding Runner on the women’s side, accounting for four event titles for the Lady Pirates. She set a new MEAC record in winning the 800-meter run (2:08.14), and she won gold in the mile run with a season-best 5:05.89.
 
She also anchored both the 4x400-meter relay team and the distance medley squad; the 4x400 team took gold with a 3:42.77, and distance medley won the MEAC title with an 11:59.22.
