Hampton University senior Brandon Peguese was named HU Player of the Week thanks to his stellar performance on the gridiron this past weekend.

Peguese (Greensboro, N.C.) was third on the team with nine tackles in a 10-7 loss at South Carolina State on Saturday, including five solo stops. Peguese also had Hampton's lone sack and two tackles for a loss of 21 yards.

He leads the MEAC with 7.0 sacks so far this season, averaging one per game, while sitting second in the conference in tackles for loss with 13.0 for a combined loss of 69 yards.
