Hampton University sophomore forward Alyssa Bennett was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend on the basketball court.

Bennett (Hampton, Va.) dropped 16 points in Saturday’s 73-51 loss to Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. She also pulled down four rebounds and had two steals.

She went 7-for-20 from the floor and hit five of her eight free throws.
