DOVER, Del. -- The Hampton University men's and women's tennis teams will start their three-game road trip, starting with a battle against the Hornets of Delaware State at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The Pirates are currently 7-4 overall and 2-0 in MEAC play, while the Lady Pirates are 6-7 overall with a 2-0 mark in conference action.
The Lady Pirates are currently on a one-game losing streak. In their last game against the University of Chicago, Hampton fell short 1-6. Preseason MEAC Player of the Year
Na-Hyun Baek has won her last six matches.
The Pirates are currently on a three-game winning streak and are undefeated at the Neilsen-Screen Tennis Stadium. In their last match against Maryland-Eastern Shore, the Pirates stomped the Hawks 7-0. Junior
Gellert Varga has won his last six matches, while Isaiah Stewart has won four in a row.
The Pirates and Lady Pirates will return to action following the Delaware State matches on Saturday, April 3 at 1 p.m., when they will travel to Washington, D.C. to face the Bison of Howard University.
