DOVER, Del. – The Hampton University women's soccer team fell on the road to Delaware State 11-0 on Sunday at Alumni Stadium.
The Lady Pirates are 0-7-0 in their inaugural season.
Elise Pratt and Dina Isham led Delaware State with two goals apiece, and all told, nine different Hornets scored.
Both of Pratt's goals came in the first half as the Hornets built up a 4-0 lead in the opening 45 minutes.
Hampton's lone shot of the afternoon came in the 58th minute, when
Raven Williams sent a shot to the goal. Leslie Fazio made the save.
Delaware State (5-8-1) held a 45-1 edge in shots (22-1 in shots on goal) and 11-0 in corner kicks.
Dazna Austin and
Maya Bouyer combined to make 11 saves; Austin accounted for seven.
