WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO PRESBYTERIAN AT VMI

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Hampton University women's soccer team wrapped up the VMI Tournament on Sunday morning at Patchin Field, falling 10-0 to Presbyterian.
 
The Lady Pirates are 0-6-0 on the season.
 
Shanice Jackson, Maya Bouyer, and LaTrice Montgomery were each named to the All-Touranament Team.
 
Hannah Gaither, Sophie Cobb, and Megan Archer each had two goals for Presbyterian. Both of Archer's goals came in the first half, and the Blue Hose led 4-0 at the intermission after scoring three goals in the final 10 minutes of the first half.
 
Gaither scored both of her goals in the second half, during a span in which Presbyterian scored four times in a five-minute stretch.
 
Presbyterian (4-4-0) outshot the Lady Pirates 37-1 – 18-0 in shots on goal. Courtney James took Hampton's lone shot, which she took and had blocked in the 70th minute.
 
The Blue Hose also held a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.
 
Bouyer had eight saves in goal.
