HAMPTON, VA. – The Hampton University women's soccer team fell in their season finale on Sunday to visiting South Carolina State 7-0 at the HU Soccer Complex.
Kayla Mazariego scored two goals to lead SCSU as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead at half and pushed four more across in the second half. Alexandra Kidd and Serena Schwartz added a goal and an assist apiece for the Bulldogs.
Hampton was outshot 19-14 in the game and 14-7 in shots on goal on Senior Day. The Lady Pirates finished the season with a 2-8-1 record with wins against Hollins, Lincoln (PA) and a tie against St. Peter's.
