DOVER, Del. – The Hampton University women's cross country team took third place on Saturday at the 2016 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championships held at the Delaware State Outreach and Research Center Saturday morning.
The Lady Pirates scored 93 points to trail the five-time champions from Florida A&M with 53 and Maryland Eastern Shore with 60.
Sophomore
Pollyanna Velasco took home All-MEAC honors with her seventh place finish. She covered the 5k course in 18:44.96.
