HAMPTON, Va. –
Jacob Woodard scored two goals and assisted on Johnathan Napier's goal as the Hampton Pirates fell in their season finale to New Jersey Institute of Technology 17-3 on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Armstrong Stadium.
The Highlanders scored the first seven goals before Hampton closed the half scoring with Napier taking a feed from Woodard crossing the front of the cage for a 7-1 deficit with 4:21 left in the half.
Woodard scored the opening goals of each quarter with 13:02 left in the third and 12:38 left in the game. His second goal brought Hampton (1-7) to 11-3, before the Highlanders scored the last six goals to seal the win.
