BEHIND THE NUMBERS
  • Sarah Colla was instrumental in the victory for Campbell, posting 14 kills to go with six service aces and two blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Trailing 2-0 in the first set, Hampton ran off a 7-1 scoring spurt to go up 7-3 and take a commanding lead early.
  • Campbell bounced back, and the two teams exchanged the lead the remainder of the set. Leading 21-20, HU scored three-straight points on a kill by Gabby Calloway, a block, and a Kyndall Nicholas ace to bring up set point.
  • Hampton led just once in the next two sets, coming at 1-0 in the second set,  as the Camels took a considerable lead.
  • Hampton attempted to snap the visitors' momentum in the fourth set, tying the game at 10-all on a kill by Isis Black. Campbell responded with an 11-2 run though to go up 21-12 and put the match away. The Camels took advantage of four Hampton errors and two blocks in the spurt.
