HOW IT HAPPENED
- Similar to last week with USC-Upstate, Hampton gave up an early goal as Sydney Wallace scored off a corner kick feed from Kathryn Miller at the 8:55 mark for an early 1-0 Longwood lead.
- Also like Sunday, Hampton kept the Lancers at bay for most of the first half before giving up a goal at the 40:15 mark as Madison Lockamy's shot bounced off the corner post as Kaitlyn Cox put in the rebound for a 2-0 lead.
- The lead grew to 3-0 as Emilie Kupsov took a long feed from Camryn Conklin and scored on a breakaway just three minutes into the second half.
- Hampton got on the board at the 58:59 mark as Sydney Jackson's crossing pass found the foot of Kynnedy Waldon who blasted one into the far corner as Hampton trailed 3-1.
- Longwood had an answer 24 seconds later as Miller found Sheyenne Stretz who headed the ball in for a 4-1 lead at 59:23.
- The hosts finished the scoring at 72:16 as Danielle Toone stuck in a rebound shot by Carrie Reaver for the 5-1 margin.
