GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Hampton opened play Friday morning in the Florida Gator Round Robin with a matchup against #5-ranked Florida who scored an 18-0 win.

Aleshia Ocasio and Natalie Lugo combined for a perfect game as the Gators used three 3-run home runs in the first inning to race out to a 9-0 lead in a game stopped after the top of the fifth by the mercy rule.

Hampton returns to action Saturday morning with a 10am start against Jacksonville University and then will rematch with the Gators at 1pm.  The Florida game will be shown on WatchESPN app.
