LEXINGTON, Va. --  Carter Boone scored twice, while Michael Lawrence added one goal for Hampton as they fell 18-3 at Virginia Military Institute in men's lacrosse action on Saturday.

VMI scored the first eight goals before Lawrence put one in the back of the cage with 7:16 left in the second period.   Boone scored his first goal off a feed from Darren Almodiel with 6:28 left in the third as Hampton trailed 16-2.  His final tally came with 15 seconds left off a pass from Elliott Johnson as Hampton was then down 17-3.

The Pirates are now home on Wednesday at 2pm to face Chowan University at Armstrong Stadium.
