HAMPTON, Va. --- Senior
Kaylah Lupoe scored 18 points and had seven rebounds to lead three in double figures as Hampton remained undefeated in Big South Conference action defeating Longwood 66-40 on Tuesday night.

Hampton (8-7, 4-0) used a 7-0 spurt to take a 15-5 lead with 1:25 left in the first on a
Mina Porte jumper which jumpstarted a 17-5 run that carried into the second quarter as a Lupoe jumper put Hampton up 25-10 with 3:41 left in the half.
A three-point play by Lupoe at the 3:40 mark of the third gave the hosts a 43-20 lead to cap an 11-3 run. In the fourth a putback by
Ashley Bates gave them a 64-29 lead with 6:18 left for its largest lead of the game.
Laren VanArsdale added 15 points and four steals, while Bates added 11 points, seven steals, five rebounds and four assists. The Lady Pirates hit 46.4% from the floor (26-of-56), 31.3% from 3-point land (5-of-16) and 64.3% from the line (9-of-14).Â
LaShayla Wright-Ponder topped the team with nine rebounds, while
Mahaley Holit had seven points and a career-best 11 assists.
Longwood was 14-of-56 from the floor (25%) which is the lowest percentage for a Hampton opponent thus far this year. They outrebounded Hampton 44-33 with Mallory Odell leading the team with 10 rebounds. Stephanie Guihon had 14 points and Dayna Rouse added 12 for the lone double figure scorers for Longwood.
Hampton now goes on the road to Campbell on Saturday for a 2 pm start.
